Leona F. Glasgow, 90, a resident of Colonial Courtyard Tyrone died November 20, 2014 at The Select Specialty Hospital, Johnstown.

She was born June 14, 1924, in Priddy TX, daughter of August Fritz and Louise Henriette (Lippe) Drueckhammer. On November 9, 1944 she married Wilbur H. Putt at Zion’s Luthern Church, Priddy, TX. Wilbur died on October 18, 1981. She then married Russell W. Glasgow on October 11, 1986 at the Port Matilda United Methodist Church. Russell died on July 24, 2000.

She is survived by 3 daughters Betty Adams of Port Matilda, Mary Holmes of Port Matilda, and Eleanor Sprankle and husband Garry of Spruce Creek, 2 sons Edward Putt and wife Linda of Olanta, and Kenneth Ewald and wife Beverly of Spring Branch, TX, a step son Robert Glasgow of Leesburg, VA, 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 8 step great-grandchildren, 4 step great-great-granchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

She was a member of the Spruce Creek United Methodist Church.

She was a 1942 graduate of Priddy High School in Texas.

Leona retired in 1984 from Penn State Food Service as a line server following 17 years of service.

She enjoyed fishing, sewing, quilting, embroidery, gardening, and reading. She also enjoyed singing and dancing.

Services will be held Monday November 24, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Feller Memorial Home with Reverend Bernie Bookhamer officiating. Interment will follow at Port Matilda Presbyterian Cemetery. Friends will be received Sunday at the funeral home from 2-4 P.M. and on Monday from 10 A.M. until the time of services.
