Obituary for Ann Marie Virgilio

Ann Marie  Virgilio
Ann Marie Virgilio, 65, of Hollidaysburg died Thursday June 11, 2015 at her residence.

She was born April 29, 1950 in Waynesboro, a daughter of Raymond and Marjorie (Stouffer) Ebner. On October 4, 1975 in North Tarrytown, New York she married James F. Virgilio.

Surviving are her husband, a daughter Jessica Kilmartin and husband James of Tyrone, two sons Christopher Virgilio and wife Kelley of Charlottesville, Virginia, Jonathan Virgilio of Tyrone, six grandchildren, Blaise, Alexis, A.J., Triumph, Benjamin and KarisAnn Kilmartin, her parents of Martinsburg, a brother Raymond “Chuck” Ebner of Salida, Colorado and a sister Dianne Ebner of Norwalk, Connecticut.

Mrs. Virgilio retired in January 2008 from North Colonie Central School District, Latham, New York as a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher following 30 years service.

She was a 1972 graduate of SUNY, Plattsburg, New York with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and a 1979 graduate of St. Rose College, Albany New York with a Masters Degree in Special Education.

She was a member of Keystone Church, State College. With her husband she had been an active member of her former church, Seed of Abraham, Albany New York serving as Head Deacon.

Ann Marie enjoyed sewing, quilting, tennis, aerobics, Florida beaches and yoga. She loved spending time and helping her family. Her passion was serving less fortunate people which included mission trips to Africa.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday June 16, 2015 at 11 A.M. at Keystone Church, 1224 N. Atherton St., State College with Pastor Perry Babb officiating.
