Obituary for Robert P. Riling Sr.

Robert P. Riling Sr., 85, of Tyrone died Wednesday August 24, 2016 at his residence.

He was born February 14, 1931 in Spruce Creek, a son of Ralph F. and Beatrice (Flood) Riling. On June 20, 1970 at the Tipton Baptist Church he married Ruth A. Cherry.

Surviving are his wife, a son Paul and wife Jennifer of Resslener, New York, three grandchildren, Paul Jr., Joseph R. and Cierra Riling, a great-grandson Hunter Matthew Riling, two step-grandchildren Leah and Ryan Philips a sister Shirley Black of Canandaigua, New York and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Ralph F. Jr. and a sister Marjorie Irwin.

Mr. Riling retired in 1995 from New Enterprise Lime and Stone Company, Pemberton as a truck driver following 22 years service. He was previously employed for PennDot for two years and the Pa. Railroad for a year.

He was a member of the Tipton Baptist Church and had been in the Tyrone National Guard.

Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved children.

Friends will be received at Feller Memorial Home on Friday August 26, 2016 from 12 noon until the funeral service at 2 P.M. with Pastor John Pine officiating. Interment will follow at Blair Memorial Park.
