Daniel Scott Miller, 58, of Tyrone died Tuesday January 3, 2017 at his residence.

He was born October 3, 1958 in Tyrone a son of the late Samuel and Annaberyl (Cowfer) Miller. On September 1, 2000 in Winchester, Virginia he married Donna Jane Kuhn.

Surviving are his wife, a daughter Danielle Rhoades and husband Mike of Tyrone, a son Matt Miller and fiancée Natalie Colabove of Altoona, 2 grandchildren, Alivia and Ethan, two stepchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, two brothers Samuel and Tom both of Tyrone and three sisters, Connie Yingling and Bonnie Miller of Tyrone and Olive Harshberger of Pittsburgh. He was preceded in death by a brother George.

He had been employed for the past 8 years at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, State College in maintenance and had worked at the Pennsylvania House, Tyrone in maintenance for 15 years.

He was a member of the Tyrone Hookies and was a graduate of Tyrone Area High School.

He was an avid hunter and enjoyed entertaining family and friends for cookouts at his pavilion.

Private viewing will be held at the convenience of the family.
