Condolence From: Anthony J. Slavinski
Condolence: I knew Pattie years ago when she worked for what was then called the League for Crippled Children. Their office was at that time located in the Allegany County Health Department building on Willowbrook Road in Cumberland, Maryland (since torn down and now the site of the Western Maryland Health System hospital). I worked for the same Health Department in the Environmental Health Division for over 40 years and am now retired. I consider Pattie to have been one of the nicest people I ever met during those years. We had a lot of fun talking and laughing together (and learning juggling too!). I was sorry to see her leave and go to work in Keyser, West Virginia, and I regret that I eventually lost track of her, although a mutual acquaintance did tell me some time ago that Pattie had planned to move to Florida. I was very saddened to read in today's newspaper about her passing, and I extend my sincerest condolences to her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
