Obituary for Jack Lee Eaken

Jack Lee Eaken, 61, of Hollidaysburg died Sunday December 27, 2015 at his residence.

He was born November 2, 1954 in Philipsburg, a son of William and Lola (Schandelmeir) Eaken. On December 21, 1975 in Altoona he married Cynthia McCreary. She died November 26, 2015.

Surviving are two daughters Jill and Ashley Eaken both of Hollidaysburg, two sons Jack II of Altoona, Brad Sr. of Hollidaysburg, fourteen grandchildren, two sisters Juanita Illig of Bald Eagle, Brenda Imler of Altoona and a brother William Jr. of Holton, Michigan.

Mr. Eaken was a lifelong truck driver retiring on disability in 2011 from Metzler’s Trucking, Duncansville following 11 years service.

He was a graduate of Altoona High School and was a U.S. Army veteran.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held today at 7 P.M. at Feller Memorial Home with Rev. Kathy Colebank officiating, Friends will be received at the funeral home today from 5 P.M. until the time of services.
