Paul Edwin Timcheck of Port Matilda, passed away on Wednesday September 7, 2016 at the age of 83. Paul was born in Star Junction, PA on December 28, 1932, and was one of four children.

He attended Duqesne Univeristy and earned his B.S. and M.S. in Secondary Music Education.
After finishing his degree, he fulfilled his ROTC duty and was stationed in Germany, while serving in the Army. It was there that he met the love of his life, Theresia Nachtwey. Shortly after, Paul and Theresia married, and they raised four children, Mike, Paul, Mark and Tammy. Paul and Theresia lived in Sewickley until 2005, when they moved in with their daughter and her family in Port Matilda. Throughout the years, Paul’s cherished his wife, children and his nine grandchildren more than anything else. He was thoroughly thrilled when he became a great-grandfather last year.

Having taught chorus and music theory at Quaker Valley High School for over 30 years, Paul encouraged thousands of students to appreciate and love music, and was exceedingly proud of his work.
