Ruth O. McConahy, 93, of Tyrone died Monday February 13, 2017 at her residence.

She was born May 22, 1923 in Altoona, a daughter of Shirl A. and Maude E. (Barrett) Dillon. She was married three times. First to William Seiner on March 3, 1947. He died November 23, 1954. She then was married to William Huddy on September 21, 1957who preceded her in death . She was married to Ralph E. McConahy on April 23, 1977 who died March 1, 2000.

Surviving are two daughters Elva Lee Goss of Delaware, Leilani Etters of Tyrone, a son Walter Huddy II of N. Windsor, New York, six grandchildren , a greatgrandson, 4 step-children, Betty Kagarise of Williamsburg, Ronald A. McConahy of Williamsburg, , Sonya McConahy of Altoona, and Leslie Loner of Mt. Union, many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren and three brothers Rudy and Marvin Dillon ofRochester, New York and Jack Dillon of Bellwood. She was preceded in death by two sisters Loma Weaver and Ramona Cupp and two brothers Shirl and Joseph Dillon.

Mrs. McConahy retired in June of 1988 from the housekeeping dept. of Epworth Manor. She previously worked at the Sylvania Defense Plant, Mill Hall and at John R. Wald Co., Tyrone during WWII.

She was a member of the Church of the Brethren, Tyrone, Anderson-Denny VFW #4559 Woman’s Auxiliary and was a 1942 graduate of Tyrone High School.

Friends will be received at Feller Memorial Home on Saturday from 10 A.M. until the funeral service at 11 A.M. Interment will follow at Baughman Cemetery.
