Obituary for Agnes G. "Aggie" Dixon (Pacanowski)



Agnes G. Dixon, 88, of Tipton died Wednesday July 11, 2018 at her residence.

She was born July 12, 1929 in Tipton, a daughter of Kasmir and Mary (Starziski) Pacanowski. On October 30, 1948 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Tyrone she married Allen W. Dixon who preceded her in death August 23, 2004.

Surviving are two sons; Allen “Butch” and wife Janet of Tipton, John and wife Karen of Tipton, a daughter-in-law Cathy Dixon of Tipton, four grandchildren, Fred, Frank, Garrett and Luke Dixon, great-grandchildren; Eve, Seth and Hunter and three sisters Margaret Mathias of Johnstown, Betty Shock of Altoona, Mary Ann Sigel of Tipton. . She was preceded in death by a son Michael and three brothers; Edward, Ernest and Fred.

She was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of America, Court St. Rita.

Aggie loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and especially enjoyed pancake Wednesday’s with them. She was fond of flower gardening, her dog Abigail and living on the farm.

Funeral Mass will be held Saturday July 14, 2018 at 11 A.M. with Fr. Jozef Kovacik officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Feller Memorial Home on Friday from 6 to 8 P.M.
