Obituary for James Anthony Mannino

James Anthony (Jimmy) Mannino of Tyrone died at Heather Court, Nottingham Village, in Northumberland, PA on May 4, 2019.
He was born October 14, 1927 in Tyrone, a son of Cosmo and Paola Catalano Mannino. On January 27, 1953 he married Sara Cimino in Osceola Mills. She died August 14, 1983.
Surviving are two daughters; Anna M. James and her husband William of Selinsgrove, Sylvia Mannino of Baltimore, Maryland, three grandchildren; Abby Werner, Sara Eliza Raimondi and Samantha Houchin and three great-grandchildren; James Patrick Werner and Molly Jean Werner and Julien Luke Raimondi. He was the last of his immediate family preceded in death by eleven brothers and six sisters, a daughter Rita, a son James Jr., and his long-time companion, Florine Lund, of Tyrone.
Mr. Mannino retired more than 20 years ago from the family businesses, Mannino Housing and Cosmo Mannino Bananas following more than 50 years in the business. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict serving as a Corporal.
He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church.
He enjoyed gardening, cooking, wood working & furniture making, wine making and spending time with family and friends.
Funeral Mass will be held Saturday May 11, 2019 at 11 A.M, at St. Matthew Church with Fr. Jozef Kovacik, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends will be received at Feller Memorial Home on Friday from 6 to 8 P.M. and on Saturday from 10-10:30 A.M.
